Registering for the reunion

October 23, 2007

I’ve noticed that some of you are having problems registering for the event using the link that was published on the blog.

As an alternative, we’ve sent out personal e-invitations that’ll simplify the RSVP process. With this email, all you need to do is to click on the mail and it’ll take you straight to the RSVP page.

If you haven’t received an email inviting you to RSVP on evite.com, please drop me an email, and I’ll make sure you receive one. Alternatively, you can also contact your class rep. After registering, please send your cheque to Geraldine.

Thanks to Rebecca for scanning the photos that Serena and I dug up.

She’s also contributed very recent photos of the Sec 4/3 Hari Raya gathering. Enjoy !

Click on the Photos link at the top of every page.

If you have photos from our days in RGS, please scan them and email them to me. I’ll upload them for all to enjoy. In case you’re wondering who this ghost writer is and are wary of sending your photos to some blackhole, I’m Iris Tay, formerly from Sec 4/9 :)

It’s finally up – the registration to the reunion. You should also have received an e-invitation from me. Please RSVP through the link/button available on that invitation email. Please contact me if you have not received the invitation.

Don’t forget to tell us if you’re bringing any guests, the number of adults as well as children in the comments section of the registration page.

After you’ve completed the registration, don’t forget to send your cheque to Geraldine.

Organizing the photos

October 14, 2007

Our photo collection has been growing ! Thanks for digging through your personal archives.

In an attempt to organize the growing collection, I have created a page called Photos to organize these albums into some logical order. Please do check out the page. This page will always be accessible on the top of every page on this blog. As albums are uploaded, I’ll link them to the page. Enjoy !

Thanks for taking part in the poll and voting for your choice of venue.

We have a winner ! It’s the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club. The venue has been booked. Here’s map of the place.

More details will be available soon. We’ll also start an online registration in the next few weeks. In the meantime, watch this space for details as well as old photos and memorabilia from our good old days at RGS.

See you on November 24th !

If you would like to contact us, please drop us an email

Call for memorabilia

October 10, 2007

Your feedback says that the school song and photos from 1982 are the hits on this blog. These trigger good old memories of our days on Anderson Road. Thanks to Rebecca, Gwen and Soo Ping for their contributions so far. To date, Rebecca has been the Chief Archives Officer ( CAO ) !

Do you have old photos, the school magazine and the RGS song book ? We would love to digitize those and put them online on this blog. Save them for posterity, and share with everyone from the class of 1982. Please drop me a line, and let me know if you have them. If you’re worried about how to digitize them, rest easy, we have access to scanners.

Choir memories

October 8, 2007

Calling all choir girls from RGS Class of 1982. Do you remember some of the performances ?

Here are pictures from the Centenary concert at the Victoria Theatre in 1980 and the King & I in 1982.

Hope they bring back lots of wonderful memories. Thanks again to Rebecca for these wonderfully preserved photos.

If you have more photos of your RGS days, in class or out, please send them to me, and I’ll publish them on this blog for all to enjoy.
